Pregnancy - Week 20

Pregnancy - Week 20

Congratulations—you’ve hit the halfway mark! As you look ahead, this is the perfect time to start exploring different birthing methods to see what resonates with you. From hypnobirthing to Lamaze or even water birth, there are plenty of approaches designed to help you feel empowered and prepared for labor. You don’t need to commit to anything yet, but doing some research now will give you a better idea of what aligns with your goals for childbirth. Consider enrolling in prenatal classes, either online or in person, to get a better sense of what might work for you.

Keep up with those Kegel exercises! Strengthening your pelvic floor now can help with labor, delivery, and recovery. Try to squeeze in (literally!) a few sets throughout the day—whether you're sitting, standing, or lying down. These exercises don’t take much time but can make a big difference.

Practical Tip: Consider incorporating breathing techniques into your routine. Learning how to control your breath can be beneficial not just for labor, but also for calming your mind and body during pregnancy. Simple techniques like deep belly breathing, 4-7-8 breathing (inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 7, exhale for 8), or Box breathing can reduce stress and help you feel more centered and calm as your body continues to change.
