Your baby is about the size of a pineapple at week 33, and by week 34 baby will be the size of a cantaloupe.
Your baby’s body is really getting ready for the outside world now! Their bones are hardening, baby fat is bulking out, and lanugo (the soft hair on the body) is starting to fall off. The vernix (creamy cottage cheese-like substance) that’s found on babies at birth is starting to become thicker to make up for less lanugo. Between 32 and 36 weeks, your baby will start to settle into the head-down position in preparation for birth.
By the end of week 34, your baby’s nervous system is fully developed - that means they have feeling throughout their whole body.
